How to get to Twin English Centre Salisbury

Travelling by train
Our school is a 10 minute walk away. The school entrance is on the Market Square in the centre of the city, and the entrance can be found between Coffee Mocha and Hawkins Bizarre. There is a very large sign on the front of the building saying “Duchess of Albany Building”.

Travelling by car
There is a short stay car park outside the school in the market square that is open most days except Tuesdays. This is expensive though, and it is recommended that you use the Central car park off castle street, marked on the map with a [P]. The central car park is clearly signposted from all access routes in to the city.

From Gatwick Airport
If you arrive at Gatwick Airport there are no direct trains that run to Salisbury. However Salisbury is on a mainline service from London Waterloo/Clapham Junction and can also be reached via Southampton. You will need to find the train station at Gatwick airport; this is signposted with a picture od a train. You will need to buy a ticket in £ and ask for a ticket to Salisbury. You should ask them to give you precise information about your route as you will need to change trains at least once.

From Heathrow Airport
If you arrive at Heathrow airport you will need to take a Coach to Woking, where you can catch a train to Salisbury. If you go to the Coach station by following the signs, you will find an “express” queue for the bus-to-rail service. You should ask for a ticket to Salisbury, and you will be given a train ticket and a coach ticket. The ticket person will be able to tell you which bus stand to go to. When you arrive in Woking you will need to ask which platform for the Salisbury train.

From Stansted Airport
Stansted has its own railway station which you can locate by following the signs. Once in the railway station you should ask at the ticket counter for trains to Salisbury. In most cases you will need to take the express train into London, and then use the underground to get to Waterloo station, but you should follow the instructions from the ticket person carefully.

From London City Airport
You will need to catch the DLR/Underground to Waterloo and buy a train ticket to Salisbury from there. You should ask which platform the next train to Salisbury will leave from.

From Luton Airport
After arrival, catch a shuttle bus to Luton Airport Parkway. There are no direct routes to Salisbury though, so you will need to ask the ticket person for the best route to Salisbury, but you may need to come into London and transfer on the underground.
