Hi! I’m Bernie. I was born in England, grew up in Canada and now working in the UK as Student Enrolment Counsellor at TWIN.
I’m a RSA Diploma qualified English teacher and have taught English to foreign students of all ages and walks of life. Therefore, I’m fully aware of students’ expectations and needs when they embark upon the challenging experience of learning a language abroad. I’m fluent in Portuguese, having lived in Portugal for over five years, and have a basic understanding of Spanish and Italian.
What makes my role as Student Counsellor so satisfying and rewarding, is being able to assist students from the point of their enquiry through until the completion of their programme. Even more so, when students return sometimes years later, to do another programme with us.

Merhaba! (Hello) My name is Mehmet and I’ve lived in the UK for 10 years. I’m originally from Istanbul, Turkey.
I studied one year English Language and Literature followed by four years of Media Studies & Journalism, which I have a Bachelor’s degree in. I have mainly worked in Travel & Tourism, Customer Services and Education both in the UK and Turkey. At the present time, I am working for Twin as an Account Executive.
I speak Turkish, English and a little bit of German.
Having worked in multi-national companies has given me the opportunity to learn a great deal about foreign cultures. This has also expanded my horizons and made me feel confident to tackle different situations and rectify them successfully.
Working for Twin is great! It’s wonderful to see how hard people work to be able to deliver the best service to you here, and I feel totally privileged to be a part of this dedicated team.

Bir yil Ingiliz Dili ve Edebiyati okuduktan sonra Istanbul Universitesi, Iletisim Fakultesi’nden mezun oldum. Is hayatimin buyuk bir bolumunde Turizm, Musteri Hizmetleri ve Egitim konularinda calistim. Su anda Twin Egitim Kurumu’nda Danisman olarak gorev yapmaktayim.
Turkce, Ingilizce ve biraz da Almaca konusuyorum.
Twin icin calismak harika bir duygu. Buradaki calisma arkadaslarimin sizlere en iyi hizmeti verebilmek icin ne kadar cok caba sarfettiklerini gormek, beni mutlu ediyor. Ayrica bu takima dahil oldugum icin de gurur duymaktayim.

Hi! My name is Sonia Lopes and I have been one of Twin's Account Executives since May 2008.
I graduated in Social Communications (Media), specialized in Journalism, done several vocational training courses, and experienced working with people from different countries and occupational fields.
I'm Portuguese, but my parents are from Cape Verde a lovely archipelago with nine islands in the west coast of Africa, so Portuguese is my first language, but I am fluent in English too. I also have a good understanding and conversational level in Spanish, French and Italian.
I believe that my background has provided me with the necessary skills to assist you in any way so feel free to contact me with your queries.
