Important updates regarding coronavirus
Latest update: 18th January, to update the status and expected open dates for our centres
The health and safety of our students and staff are extremely important to us. Therefore we want to reassure you that we are following the advice from the World Health Organisation, NHS in England, HSE in Ireland and the UK and Irish governments very carefully.
In line with the Irish and UK governments' guidance, Twin English Centres operate to COVID-safe guidelines.
- Our Dublin Centre, as of 4th January 2021, is closed for face-to-face lessons to comply with the Irish government tier 5 lockdown. All Twin students currently in Dublin are completing their lessons in a virtual classroom. Based on the scheduled end date of 31st January for tier 5, we expect to reopen the building for face-to-face classes on Monday 1st February 2021. Please also note that in accordance with the government's Resilience and Recovery 2020-2021 Plan for Living with COVID-19, all prospective non-EEA students seeking to enter Ireland must wait until in-person classes have resumed.
- Our London Centre, as of 6th January 2021, is closed for face-to-face lessons to comply with the UK government tier 4 lockdown in London. All Twin students currently in London are completing their lessons in a virtual classroom. Although no end date has been formally communicated, the Prime Minister said he expects this to last until at least mid-February.
- Our Eastbourne Centre in the UK was closed on Monday 23rd March 2020. The planned reopening date is 3rd May 2021, if restrictions are no longer in place by the UK government.
We continue to support our students during these challenging times, with regular welfare calls to ensure that they are keeping safe. Any students under the age of 18 are receiving a daily call from our school principals. Students also continue to have access to our 24-hour emergency support line should they require it.
We also continue to offer our online-only programmes and take bookings for future arrivals.
Please find below our safety policies and contact information for each of our centres. If you have any questions about the temporary school closures or wish to speak to a member of the team, do not hesitate to contact us:
