This qualification enhances your competency in digital literacy skills to support you within your current job role or give you the opportunity to progress into a role where digital skills are required.
You will discover how to apply digital skills in personal and business situations by knowing how to maintain safety and security when using data and devices.
What's included?
This course focusses on practical digital skills, so you can use them to solve problems, improve your personal efficiency, create and share content (collaboratively) and stay safe while doing so.
To successfully complete this course you have to complete five mandatory units and complete one of the two optional units.
Mandatory Units
Unit 1:
Find and use information
Be able to identify and select information and resources to meet personal and organisational needs

Be able to store information in line with an organisation’s agreed procedures
Unit 2:
Safety and security when using data and digital devices

Using word processing software
Be able to enter, edit and combine text and other information accurately within word processing documents
Be able to edit and structure information within word processing documents
Be able to use word processing software tools to format and present documents

How it works
You will receive a registration code that will give you access to our online learning platform. Here you can access your course materials, lessons and resources. After you have registered for the course online, your personal assessor will introduce him/herself to you before you start. They will assess and mark your performance work at every stage. If you need any additional support, you can request this through the system or directly to your assessor. Your progress will be monitored remotely and your assessor can offer tips and guidance to improve your understanding of the course materials and assignments.
All assignments can be completed in your own time, so you can progress at your own pace.
